What is Dragonfall about?

A thousand years after the Five Kingdom Alliance forged the Dragon Pact with blood and bone, the beast Axar stirs in its slumber, threatening to reduce the empire to ashes. In a bustling Federation town, Jack, a reckless young man with a knack for trouble, chases his mischievous dog Bruce through the streets, leaving chaos in his wake. His uncle Ren berates him for the mess, but Jack has little time for family drama—he's determined to join the Hunter Guild's monster hunting teams. When he witnesses a group of thugs harassing an elf girl named Aliyia, Jack intervenes, and the two display unexpected combat skills that catch the eye of a guild recruiter. Eager to join, Jack learns that new regulations require every recruit to bring their own steelgrade weapon, and he doesn't have a coin to his name. Aliyia, impressed by his help, offers to lead him to a temperamental dwarf blacksmith named Balon. In a cramped workshop filled with tools and meteor metal, Balon scoffs at Jack's skinny frame, doubting he can even lift a blade. But Jack's determination is fierce, and he insists on proving his worth. As the ancient threat of Axar looms, Jack must navigate the challenges of recruitment, forge his own path, and rise from a street thief to a monster hunting legend.
