What is Buzubuzu — Episode 3 about (Plot Synopsis)?

In a shadowy world where magic and bureaucracy intertwine, a weary necromancer named Ezra is hired to resurrect a soul for a grieving client. The deceased is Tobias Marsh, a handyman for a powerful mage, whose neck was broken with surgical precision. Ezra, a busy professional who charges a coin for his services, repairs the body and performs the ritual, but the reunion is cut short by his impatience. He instructs the newly awakened Tobias to stand by the body for a souvenir photo, then presses him for details about his death. Tobias remembers little: he was going home, opened the door, and then nothing. Before that, he was at a bar, where he chatted with a friendly girl who asked seemingly innocent questions about his work. She wondered what he did, and he boasted about being a handyman for an important mage, mentioning an artifact he was supposed to pick up from the enchanted cap. The girl's curiosity about the artifact's location now seems sinister. Ezra, ever the pragmatist, asks if the girl asked anything unusual, but Tobias insists she was just nice. The necromancer then shows Tobias a photo of a suspect seen by a cop, but Tobias doesn't recognize her. As Ezra prepares to conclude his investigation, a menacing figure appears, and Tobias's soul is threatened. The necromancer's cool demeanor masks a deeper tension as he navigates a world where the dead hold secrets and the living are never to be trusted. The film's atmosphere is steeped in noirish shadows and magical realism, with Ezra's dry humor and Tobias's confusion painting a portrait of a man caught between life and death, and a detective who has seen it all.

Ezra, it's been a while. I'm here for a soul. A loved one maybe? For an investigation. So, what is his name? Tobias Marsh. Yes, I can do that. Do you have the coin? Good. You can go to the TAP-47. And remind Anki that her privileges are not a given. Despite my respect for Anki, unlimited funds do not entitle you to special treatment. A man with my skill is extremely busy. Anyway, I already repaired the body. Did you bring the soul? Yes. That should do. So it was a clean death. He probably never even saw his attacker. His neck was broken with surgical precision. Let's proceed. Wake up. Ezra? Hi. OK, OK. The reunion can wait. I'm a busy man. Go near the body so we can take the souvenir photo.

Buzubuzu — Episode 2
In a rain-slicked fantasy underworld, a weary courier named Basko delivers a severed head to a merchant who pays him in cold coin and false praise. The merchant, Gail, coos over Basko like a proud parent, reminiscing about when the boy barely fit in his hand, while Basko insists he has rent to pay and no time for nostalgia. His companion, a dry-witted fixer, needles him about the rifle he lost—the one that 'chose freedom'—as they leave the shop. The head, wrapped and stashed in a fridge, is meant for mages and their rituals, but the transaction curdles when Gail's client decides that fewer witnesses are better. A blade flashes; blood hits the floor. Basko survives the ambush only to stumble home and find a stranger in his bedroom—a woman who speaks of voices, noise, and murder, and who leans in close to tell him he smells like her daughter. The head, stupid and stubborn, refuses to stay silent. Basko's night spirals from errand to execution to domestic invasion, every corner of his life invaded by the job he thought was finished. Toby, a name shouted in panic, hangs in the air as the rain keeps falling and the fridge keeps humming. In this grim, funny, tightly wound world, loyalty is a transaction, family is a scent, and the only thing more dangerous than a severed head is the person who sent you to deliver it.

Buzubuzu — Episode 4
In the shadowed aftermath of a violent death, Gail is confronted by a furious stranger who holds her responsible for the murder of a man named Basko. The encounter is raw and immediate: accusations fly, threats are exchanged, and Gail finds herself cornered by a debt she never agreed to pay. The stranger demands retribution, insisting that she owes more than she can possibly give, while Gail insists she owes nothing at all. But the confrontation is cut short when Gail turns and flees, shouting for someone to catch her, and the scene dissolves into chaos. As the tension escalates, Gail is forced to confront the truth she has been avoiding. She swears she didn't know Basko was going to be killed, but her pursuer calls her a liar and refuses to believe her innocence. Desperate to clear her name, Gail reveals the only name she has: a man who calls himself the Liturgist. That is all she knows, a single thread in a web of violence she never intended to be part of. The revelation shifts the confrontation, and her accuser realizes that Gail is not the one he is after. The real target is the Liturgist, a shadowy figure whose identity and motives remain unknown. The film unfolds in a world of murky loyalties and sudden violence, where every conversation is a negotiation and every name carries a price. Gail moves through this landscape as a woman caught between guilt and survival, her every word weighed against the threat of retaliation. The stranger, driven by grief and a thirst for justice, becomes an uneasy ally in a search that leads deeper into a criminal underworld. As they navigate the dangerous terrain of trust and betrayal, the question of who the Liturgist is—and what he wants—hangs over every step. The atmosphere is thick with paranoia, and the line between victim and perpetrator blurs with each new revelation. In this tense, dialogue-driven drama, the past is never truly buried, and the truth is always just out of reach.
Buzubuzu — Episode 5
Anki, a sharp-witted lawyer with a mortgage and a curse, sits in the waiting room of Dr. Geist, a specialist in paramagic botany and stamp collecting. Her affliction is peculiar: every time she lies, she grows an extra toe. At first, the toes were small inconveniences—a compliment to a husband's haircut, a white lie about dinner—but now she buys her shoes at the clown store. The curse is manageable, the doctor says, if she simply stops lying. But Anki is a lawyer, and her life is built on strategic untruths. Her wife has had enough, and Anki has had enough of her own body betraying her. So she seeks out Dr. Geist, a man with a charming smile and a clinic full of unsettling curiosities. He promises to remove the seal that holds back her curse, to stretch it loose and let her walk out two inches taller. The procedure involves a medical device, a pure soul absorbed through every pore, and tanks of curses that still bite. Anki is intrigued, even amused, until she notices the children in the cages. Dr. Geist explains, with clinical cheer, that they crush the kids in a press to harvest their souls—the very souls that wash the seal right out of her. For Anki, this is a moral line she cannot cross. She declines, but the doctor's smile doesn't waver. The consultation is over, and Anki must decide how far she'll go to rid herself of a curse that has turned her life into a circus of toes and lies. In a world where magic is mundane and morality is negotiable, Anki's stand against sacrificing children becomes a darkly comic battle of conscience against convenience.
