What is The House of Amun — Episode 5 about (Plot Synopsis)?
General Hormh leads his army into a brutal river battle, his ships trapped by enemy vessels blocking the channel. Under a hail of arrows, he orders his infantry to take the shore, shields raised, as soldiers scream and fall around him. The heights are eventually secured, but the cost is heavy, and the enemy has withdrawn inland. Back at the palace, Hormh reports to Pharaoh: the river is theirs, but many men are missing. When prisoners reveal that two villages sheltered the rebels, Hormh refuses to burn them, declaring he came to end a rebellion, not create another. He commands that the wounded be tended first, water be given to prisoners, and the dead be buried with honor. Meanwhile, a quieter tension unfolds: a woman confesses she has not eaten for three mornings, frightened of wanting a child so much, and Hormh admits his own fear. As he sends scouts to watch the rebels without engaging, Hormh must balance ruthless military necessity with a growing sense of mercy that could cost him everything.
