Jungleborn

What is Jungleborn about (Plot Synopsis)?

Sela, keeper of the royal hatchery, has spent her days tending the last dragon egg in the world — until the king orders it locked in chains. She steals the egg and flees into the Green Deep, an endless, rain-soaked jungle where no one has ever been found. On her very first night beneath the canopy, the shell cracks open in her hands. A tiny dragon with a white star on its forehead looks up at her and chirps. She names him Niro — little ember — and from that moment, her survival becomes his. What follows is a quiet, elemental ordeal of keeping a growing creature alive. Wolves circle in the dark; fever burns through the nights; the black swamp swallows the unwary. Sela learns to sleep in the treetops, to build a raft with her own hands, to drift a wide brown river past the torches of the king's hunters hiding in the fog. Every week Niro grows bigger — too big to hide, too precious to abandon. Behind them, the hunters search every tree, every riverbank, every ruined temple, their captain kneeling before the throne with the same report: not yet, my king. And King Ardan, who still remembers the city his grandfather lost to a dragon, answers with the same order: find them, by any means. The only hope left is the Mountain of Clouds, where dragons were born long ago — but the king is riding out himself. Told with a family-friendly warmth, the film is a story of courage, survival, kindness, and the bond between a woman and the dragon she raised. Its visual language leans on mist-heavy jungle canopies, torchlight through fog, and the soft, analog texture of a half-remembered myth, while the soundscape breathes with rain, river current, and the small, bright chirp of a creature learning to trust.
