What is The Sky-Fallen Legacy about?

In a war-torn galaxy where the Vorakai outnumber the queen's forces, a desperate ambush unfolds in the western stone pass. Kyus' scouts have discovered an ancient structure buried beyond the mountains—a temple of Skyfallen—and from its rubble, a metal object the size of a man is being moved under heavy guard. The Vorakai king orders his soldiers to take it at any cost, and the pass becomes a trap. Meanwhile, Jade and her synthetic companion fight for survival, their ship barely holding together, hunted by Vexa and pursued by enemies who once tried to kill them. When Jade is wounded, the group is forced to consider an uneasy truce with those who blew up their vessel, trusting in a fragile deal involving Cassian's real eye. As the queen finally emerges from years of silence, she reveals the truth: the Vorakai king used Skyfallen's weapon near the end of the war, shattering all hope and forcing her people into hiding. Now, with the ancient device in play and old hatreds burning, the survivors must decide whether to fight, flee, or trust the very enemies who destroyed them. The pass runs red as Skyfallen's legacy is claimed by those who would kill for it.
